If you need general guidance with your business or contracts, then a course and/or template may be all you need. I like to think about this in terms of risk. The more risk you have with a specific matter, the more likely you may need an attorney. The less risk, the more likely you can “do it yourself” with reliable tools such as this shop. In the end, it’s up to you. But just to be clear, purchasing a product here does not make Pixel Law or its representatives your lawyer or law firm.

Maybe. Pixel Law (and me, Chris) allows certain individuals and businesses to engage the firm for one-on-one legal advice and representation. However, I (Chris) am only licensed in Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri as of 2023 and most of my clients are in those states. I represent some individuals and businesses outside of those states, but I am limited in what I can do for those clients.

No. All content and all templates in this shop are general in nature.

It is impossible to guarantee that a contract will work in every state in the country because every state has different laws, regulations, court precedent, etc. Further, there are international and federal laws, and also local laws at the county and city level.

With that said, most content in this shop focuses on legal topics that tend to be the same or similar across state lines. Moreover, the content in the shop was created to be as enforceable as possible in as many states as possible. In certain situations, I call out provisions that are well known to differ across state lines. For example, some states place more severe limitations on non-compete and non-solicitation provisions. In those cases, the content will probably call attention to that. But just to be clear, if you have legal issues tied to one specific state, then you may want to work with an attorney licensed in that jurisdiction.

Yes! The templates sold in this shop will be delivered in a fully editable Microsoft Word file (.docx). You can edit it for your own use however you see fit (subject to the limitations in the Product License). However, I cannot guarantee anything regarding the impacts your edits will have on other provisions in the template.

Yes. You should read the “What You Cannot Do” section of the Product License before you make a purchase. In short, you cannot share, sell, publish, or distribute course content or templates to anyone else.

This depends on what you buy.

If you buy a course, it will usually include video lessons and a guide (usually in a PDF). It may also include other mini-guides, checklists, etc.

If you buy a template or a course that comes with a template, then you will receive a fully editable Microsoft Word document (.docx format). You can edit those in most word processing programs. Those files will usually have instructions inserted as comments. You may need to turn comments on in your word processing program to see them.

In all cases, the specifics of what is included with each purchase will be described on the product and/or purchase page.
